【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletoX-raysystemsdesignedforscreeningpeopletodetectiftheyarecarryingobjectsthatcouldbeusedforcriminalpurposes,e.g.,terroristuse,drugsmugglingandtheft.Theseobjectsincludeweapons,explosives,chemicalandbiologicalagentsandotherconcealeditems.ThreetypesofX-rayscreeningsystemsarecurrentlyinuse.Thesearebackscattersystems,transmissionsystemsandcombinationbackscatter/transmissionsystems.WithbackscattersystemstheX-raysareusedtodetectobjectshiddenunderorwithintheperson’sclothing.Withtransmissionsystemsobjectsswallowedorhiddeninbodycavitiesmaybedetected.Combineddevicescanbeusedtogetbothpiecesofinformationsimultaneously.Theobjectofthisstandardistolaydownstandardrequirementsandalsotospecifygeneralcharacteristics,generaltestprocedures,radiationcharacteristics,electricalcharacteristics,environmentalinfluences,mechanicalcharacteristics,safetyrequirementsandtoprovideexamplesofacceptablemethodsintermsofdosetothewholeorpartofthebodyforeachscreeningprocedureandthetimetakenforeachscreeningprocedure.Inparticularthestandardaddressesthedesignrequirementsastheyrelatetotheradiationprotectionofthepeoplebeingscreened,peoplewhoareinthevicinityoftheequipmentandtheoperators.Thestandarddoesnotaddresstheperformancerequirementsforthequalityoftheobjectdetection.
