【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReportdiscussestheexistingdefinitionsof“wetgasflow”andprovidessuggesteddefinitionsforuse.Commonwetgasflowmeteringterminologies,principles,andlimitationsoftheavailablewetgasmetertechnologiesarealsodiscussed.Wetgasflowmeteringisanimportantflowmeasurandinmanyindustries.Ifarelativelysmallvolumeofliquidispresentinagasitisgenerallysaidtobe“wet.”Wetgasflowsarenotnewoccurrencesinindustry(e.g.,wetsaturatedsteamflowshavebeenproducedsincetheindustrialrevolution)butitisonlyrecentlythatattemptstometerwetgasflows(e.g.,bytheoilandgasindustry)withimprovedandaperhapsbetterunderstooduncertaintieshavebeenmade.Measurementtechniquesarebeingcontinuouslydevelopedbutacceptedsingle-phase(dry)gasmeteruncertaintyisasyetnotattainablewhenawetgasflowispresent.Duetothedifficultiesinvolvedinwetgasmeteringitisunlikelythatthesamelevelofuncertaintyseenwithsingle-phasegasmeteringwillbeachievedintheforeseeablefuture.Therearetwodistinctwetgas-meteringsituations:(a)Wheresomeflowrateknowledgeisinitiallyknown,forexample,(1)thetotalmassflowrateisknown(suchasinaclosedcyclesystem,e.g.,asteampowercycle)andeithertheratioofliquid-to-gasflowratesoroneofthephaseflowratesisrequiredtobemetered.(2)onephaseflowrateisknown(fromsomeothermeans)andtheotherphaseflowrateistobemetered.(b)Noflowrateinformationisknown(e.g.,unprocessedwetnaturalgasflows)andeitherorboththeliquidandgasphaseflowratesarerequiredtobemetered.Thisisaconsiderablymoredifficultmeteringsituationasextrainformationisrequiredandmetersbeingdevelopedforthissituationareconsideredtobeatthecuttingedgeoffluidflowmeteringtechnology.NOTE:Mostofthecurrenttechnologiesignoretheeffectsofmulti-componentliquidspresentinwetgasflows.However,somemeteringsystemsaredesignedtoestimatethedifferentquantitiesofliquidcomponentsinawetgasflow.

【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReportdiscussestheexistingdefinitionsof“wetgasflow”andprovidessuggesteddefinitionsforuse.Commonwetgasflowmeteringterminologies,principles,andlimitationsoftheavailablewetgasmetertechnologiesarealsodiscussed.Wetgasflowmeteringisanimportantflowmeasurandinmanyindustries.Ifarelativelysmallvolumeofliquidispresentinagasitisgenerallysaidtobe“wet.”Wetgasflowsarenotnewoccurrencesinindustry(e.g.,wetsaturatedsteamflowshavebeenproducedsincetheindustrialrevolution)butitisonlyrecentlythatattemptstometerwetgasflows(e.g.,bytheoilandgasindustry)withimprovedandaperhapsbetterunderstooduncertaintieshavebeenmade.Measurementtechniquesarebeingcontinuouslydevelopedbutacceptedsingle-phase(dry)gasmeteruncertaintyisasyetnotattainablewhenawetgasflowispresent.Duetothedifficultiesinvolvedinwetgasmeteringitisunlikelythatthesamelevelofuncertaintyseenwithsingle-phasegasmeteringwillbeachievedintheforeseeablefuture.Therearetwodistinctwetgas-meteringsituations:(a)Wheresomeflowrateknowledgeisinitiallyknown,forexample,(1)thetotalmassflowrateisknown(suchasinaclosedcyclesystem,e.g.,asteampowercycle)andeithertheratioofliquid-to-gasflowratesoroneofthephaseflowratesisrequiredtobemetered.(2)onephaseflowrateisknown(fromsomeothermeans)andtheotherphaseflowrateistobemetered.(b)Noflowrateinformationisknown(e.g.,unprocessedwetnaturalgasflows)andeitherorboththeliquidandgasphaseflowratesarerequiredtobemetered.Thisisaconsiderablymoredifficultmeteringsituationasextrainformationisrequiredandmetersbeingdevelopedforthissituationareconsideredtobeatthecuttingedgeoffluidflowmeteringtechnology.NOTE:Mostofthecurrenttechnologiesignoretheeffectsofmulti-componentliquidspresentinwetgasflows.However,somemeteringsystemsaredesignedtoestimatethedifferentquantitiesofliquidcomponentsinawetgasflow.
